Take action. Drive change.
The Children's Environmental Health Network (CEHN) is a national nonprofit that advocates for clean air and water, safer food and products, and healthy places to live, learn, and play for all children. We have been the leading evidence-based voice for children's environmental health for three decades.
Each year, we facilitate Children's Environmental Health Day(CEH Day) for the larger Children's Environmental Health Movement, providing guidance, recourses, technical assistance, and a platform for all child health advocates. We also host our own CEH Day celebrations. Donations made support both our CEHN-hosted CEH Day events and our work on CEH Day in general.
What is CEH Day?
October 10th, 2024 is the 9th annual Children’s Environmental Health Day (CEH Day). This day anchors the overall CEH Movement and is a rallying point for education, and for individuals and organizations to take action on behalf of children’s environmental health. On CEH Day, we raise the visibility of children’s health issues, celebrate successes in the field, share exciting new initiatives, and discuss new challenges and the road ahead.
Why Children's Environmental Health?
An estimated 34% of children's chronic illnesses and developmental problems are caused by environmental factors. These harms disproportionately affect poor children and Black, Latino/a, and Indigenous children. Together, we can create healthier environments and a more equitable future for all children.
